Welcome to WagaSim !

This is currently one of the most realistic paragliding simulators, and the alpha demo is currently available for free ! All the wings as well as the wind-socks are soft-body objects, so they behave like a real piece of fabric (they can bend like in real life).

WagaSim lets you fly paragliders, miniwings, speedwings and even kites ! You can decide to use a stock wing, or you can also design and fly your own !

Play with the ground !

Since the ground is a very important part of paragliding, both in ground handling and in freestyle flying, a special attention has also been paid to the way you interact with the ground. The pilot has semi-ragdoll physics, so his legs will bend and adapt to the terrain so you can do insane foot drags !

Make your own wings !

Indeed, the "wing builder" allow you to make your own custom wings, which will behave realistically according to their shape !

I think this last functionality is a great tool since it allow the player to learn the guidelines of how a paraglider flies, how it turns and how it stays inflated !

Realistic physics !

The wing is divided in cells, which are liked together and to the pilot, just like a real wing. Each cell changes its own polar according to the profile deformation (that is to say the brake amount). Then, each cell calculates the aerodynamic forces applied to it according to its angle of attack and its polar.

In addition, the wing simulates it own internal pressure linked to airspeed, thus the wing won't be able to bend as much at high airspeed as at slow airspeed.

What about the future ?

This simulator is at a very early stage !

What about me, the developer ?

My name is Nathan, and I am an engineering student in France. I have been passionate about paragliding since I was 15, and that led me to develop this simulator. I have been developing WagaSim for 3 years in my free time now, and it has been a wonderful experience so far !
